Stereolab second vocalist and poly-musician Mary Hansen died on 9 Dec. 2002.
More than an art installation, this is first of all a tribute to a wonderful person.
Thank you Mary.

Principle

After having selected some vocal parts of Mary, E.G. has arranged these parts in a 16 minutes composition. This composition is reproduced by the CD-player and it is amplified by a speaker. The guitar is laid upon the speaker so that the strings resonate to the sounds coming from the CD. The guitar is then amplified by a powerful guitar amplifier so that a feed-back effect is created between the strings and the guitar amplifier. This results in a series of different feed-backs according to the composed sounds.
