Hosteller Alison Gerber is curating an underwater broadcast of audio works to take place at the beach at Västra Hamnen in Malmö August
6 and 8, 2004.
Artists whose work will be broadcast include Abinadi Meza, Ann Rosén, Enrico Glerean, Johan Sandsjö, Jon Eriksen, mAggIE mAYhEm, Mathias Kristersson and Trygve Luktvasslimo, Petri Kuljuntausta, Plakto Needs Lint, and Stein-Olof Hellström. The works will be broadcast only underwater, so viewers will need to swim in the ocean off the south coast of Sweden to listen.

(Bologna, ITALY).
Part of DECIBEL meet NEON/CAMPOBASE, a series of sound-art events curated by
Marco Altavilla.
(Slow Eye Movement)3 is a
sound representation of the very first stage of human sleep. Deep infrasound
frequencies with particular kind of pulsations and drones will slowly carry
the viewer to a state of mind relaxation as in the very beginning of a
dream. But sudden uncontrolled disturbing noises will then provoke a state
of fearful anxiety and rage. The images will try to reveal some important
secret data, but then the message is hidden, blurred, morphed, confused. The
state of anxiety is growing while realizing that it is impossible to get a
correct image of truth.
During the performance people will be kindly invited to lay down on pillows
and sleep in the gallery.
